As
a founder Board member of ACE IT we are all saddened
by Pauline’s passing after many years of helping
steer ACE IT on its successful journey. Her wise
counsel and commitment has been very much
appreciated by everyone at ACE IT and anyone
associated with the organisation.
Pauline and I first met at Dalry House in 2002 when
we were involved in shaping The City Centre
Community Learning Plan and going on to form the
Older People's Action Group and Older People’s
Forum.
She has always championed education for older people
and certainly guided us in our initial funding from
Edinburgh Council.
Her personal support to many of ACE IT staff and
learners has been particularly appreciated, together
with her warmth, kindness and listening ear. Pauline
was a tireless worker who made such a difference in
and to the community throughout her life.
Pauline meant a great deal to me , not only from ACE
IT’s point of view but personally – a true friend
and a great inspiration to me in all the years I’ve
known her. Her resolve and strength of character
gives me the impetus to carry on our work in her
name. |
