ACE IT at theGet Up and Go Awards 2010!
ACE IT were delighted to be nominated for this year’s
awards by Evelyn Harrison, a former participant of the
basic computer training course, who has recently been
undertaking the more advanced training sessions provided
at the new ACE IT computer suite on Edinburgh’s famous
George Street.

ACE IT moves to new George Street Training Centre!
After
months of careful preparation and planning ACE IT have now moved into
our new computer training centre at George St, Edinburgh. The new
premises provides a more flexible space for training whilst retaining
the warm and friendly atmosphere associated with ACE IT.

Get Up and Go Awards 2009...
Another award for Moose in the Hoose!
The
Get Up and Go Awards are run by the City of Edinburgh
Council : "Get Up and Go has been developed in line with
a City for All Ages - the city plan for older people.
It is about improving opportunities and services for
older people and removing discrimination towards them so
that Edinburgh can truly become A City for all Ages."

| All Our Futures Conference - Empowering Older People |
| ACE IT was recently invited to participate in the All Our Futures
conference at the Edinburgh Corn Exchange. Jointly hosted by City of
Edinburgh Council and the Scottish Government, the event brought
together a wide cross section of organisations and service providers
working within communities to improve the lives of older people across

People's War Group (PWG) was founded to gather documentation,
photographs and statements relating to the experiences of the people of
Edinburgh during WW2 as part of the BBC's People's War initiative.
However, the group proved so popular a second run of meetings is about
