the past few years ACE IT has turned its visionary eye to the young of
today: Many concerns and issues of younger people are shared by
older people too – without either generation realising it themselves!

The Moose In The Hoose Project Together,
the City of Edinburgh Council’s Health and Social Care Department, Age
Concern Edinburgh Information Technology (ACE IT) and RSVP Scotland
(CSV’s Retired and Senior Volunteer Programme) have set up ‘Moose in the
Hoose’ to open the ‘it-door’ for Edinburgh’s older people. 14 friendly,
it-literate volunteers, all themselves 50+, now provide computer support
and encouragement to residents in 7 residential care homes and 2
sheltered housing schemes in the City.

Edinburgh Silver Surfers Web Design Club The
Edinburgh Silver Surfers Web Club meet at 1pm
each Tuesday within the ACE IT Computer Suite.
The Surfers have created their own award winning
website at edinburghsilversurfers.co.uk. The
site features a wide range of articles, news,
views and information for the over 50+
