Strategic Development Group For Older
People |
|
 |
The Silver Surfers attended a Seminar covering strategic development
for older people in Edinburgh hosted in the City Chambers on 13th
May.
This was well attended by groups representing older people across
Edinburgh.
The Seminar was opened by Mary Wycherley, Chairwoman of the Older
Peoples’ Equality Forum (OPEF) the scene was then set by Tricia
Campbell (Joint Programme Manager, Services for Older People) and
Glenda Watt (Strategy Manager, Edinburgh’s Joint Plan for Older
People).
During the talks and discussions which followed a number of diverse
and varied opinions were raised – and at times the meeting was both
heated and emphatic.
The consensus was that older people in the City still had a lot to
contribute and were determined that their collective voice would
continue to be heard |
