November 2005: ACE IT and
Healthy Hearts!
ACE
IT’s volunteers, staff, learners and some of the Edinburgh Silver
Surfers joined up with Hearts Chairman George Foulkes and Age
Concern Scotland to kick off the start of Older People’s Week at
Tynecstle Stadium
Having a “Healthy Heart” helps us all to live longer – whether you
swim, golf, fish, dance and even learn about computing – it all
helps in keeping our brains and bodies active!

Martin 60 year old ACE IT volunteer tutor says “ I’m a retired
mechanic who served my apprenticeship at Westfield Autocar Company
,I have always wanted to be a teacher but never quite realised the
dream. However as a computer training volunteer that dream has now
been realised.”
