Edinburgh Doors Open Day 2011 |

 "A
huge thank you to you all (staff, volunteers and learners) for
your fantastic work on Saturday - we had an EXCELLENT turn out
,well over 300 people through our doors - so many more than we
had expected!!It all went really smoothly from the tea/coffee
chat sofas, to the leafleting, guiding folks round and spreading
the word about ACE IT and what we do in the community. |

- We recruited 15 new novices for our classes.
- 3 people offered to be volunteers with us.
- So many people took our other leaflets on digital
photography, card and calendar making and the Saturday
club that I lost track.
- A local historian was most impressed by our People's
War Group posters and noted that we had some very rare
and special photographs/footage.
- The Cockburn Association sent round a lady to have a
look at our Open Doors Day posters and slideshows - she
was very impressed!
Everyone seemed as much interested in our ceilings as our
work - it really was a lovely atmosphere all day."
